On Thursday 26th January, Sapphire hopped on the central line for a visit to the British Museum. Leo took part in an Ancient Egyptian workshop where he got to explore the process of mummification through touch and smell. His Egyptian embalmers Rachel and Sam also got to work wrapping him in linen bandages! After lunch we went on a tour of the museum’s Egyptian artefacts. It was so interesting to see lots of sarcophaguses and even a body that had been mummified in the sand 5,000 years ago. We had a brilliant day and showed that we can be role models for behaviour outside of the classroom.
